For many participants, the non-stop over-stimulus of a Burning festival is followed by a period of depression, dissastifaction, and/or withdrawal in the default world; and the prescribed cure is a shorter "Decompression" event that reconnects attendees with the Burner community and culture. "Decompression" is a registered trademark of Black Rock City, LLC, which authorizes its use by officially-recognized regional Burner communities.
